- Trade names
Giallo Siena · Giallo di Siena · Giallo Siena Unito · Siena Gold · Golden Siena · Siena Giallo · Siena Yellow · Yellow Siena · Amarillo Siena · Giallo Sienna
The names the stone is ordered under. Write any one of them on the order and it is the same block.
Sources differ Several supplier listings also carry "Siena Brocatello" and "Broccatello di Siena" as aliases of this stone. Broccatello is a breccia and the site catalogs it as a separate variant, so the name is recorded and not used as an interchangeable label for one block.

- Collected and redistributed
We buy in volume and redistribute. The purchasing scale is what makes the buying price work, and the buying price is what makes the selling price work. What reaches you is the result of aggregated demand across many orders, not one.

- material_character.structure
A heavily brecciated structure. The stone can be brittle along the white calcite fault lines, so edge profiling has to be done with care at corners. Slabs normally arrive resin-backed from the extraction site.

- Physical properties
Apparent density 2,650-2,750 kg/m³ · Water absorption 0.04-0.3 % · Compressive strength 80-175 MPa · Flexural strength 8-25 MPa
Typical ranges for marble of this stone type, measured under EN 1936, EN 1926 and EN 13755. Certified values are issued per block on request, and a certificate for the block you are buying is worth more than a table on a website.
Sources differ Published sources do not agree on a single figure. Water absorption is given as 0.04 % in one petrographic note and as 0.1-0.3 % in a technical sheet; compressive strength as 175 MPa against a range of 80-150 MPa. The wider range is stated here, and the certified value for the block governs.

Length band across the slabs held. It is a band, not a fixed size, so a cut list has to be checked against what is physically in the warehouse.

15 mm: 40.65 kg/m² · 18 mm: 48.78 kg/m² · 20 mm: 54.20 kg/m² (nominal thickness, at the published 2710 kg/m³ apparent density)
Derived from the published apparent density. Calibration takes 1-2 mm off the nominal thickness, so a weighed slab reads slightly below the calculated figure.

- our_stock_area
3000
Square metres held in our own warehouse. A square metre of slab is a surface measure, not a count of slabs: the number of slabs it represents depends on the dimensions of the pieces. We do not publish a slab count against this figure.

Stock is confirmed against the physical warehouse at the time of enquiry, because a figure of this kind moves.

- commercial.packing
Slabs travel on edge, never flat. Each face is separated with foam or film so polished surfaces do not rub, the bundle is compressed and banded at high tension, and the whole is closed into a heat-treated wooden crate carrying the ISPM-15 mark. Cut-to-size tiles go into cartons on a pallet; custom pieces are crated individually.
This is the standard packing method for stone in international export, and it is the method used here. Bundle configuration is set against the slab dimensions and the container.

- commercial.shipping
Dispatch is from our processing base in the Shunde and Yunfu cluster, and the loading port is chosen against the shipping line. Terms are quoted as FOB or CIF against the destination.
The stone is quarried in Tuscany; the processing is done in China. Those are two separate places and we do not merge them.

Merely cut slabs and blocks (sawn into a rectangular shape): 2515120000. Worked marble articles - polished, ground, chamfered, profiled or carved, and cut-to-size pieces: 6802919000. Stone carvings: 6802911000.
The code follows the degree of processing, not the name of the stone. The line written on the invoice follows the form of the goods that actually ship. A polished slab is not declared as a merely cut one.

- commercial.samples
A sample piece is cut from the stock itself, so what arrives is the material that would be supplied. Sample cost and carriage are quoted with the request.
BOSS, 2026-10-29 - our own warehouse holds 3000 m² of stock, from which samples are cut
- Handling and safety
Natural stone contains crystalline silica. Cutting, grinding, drilling and dry sweeping it release respirable crystalline silica dust. Cutting and grinding must be done with water or with extraction on, and the work area ventilated. In California, a Proposition 65 warning is required for products containing crystalline silica.
The safety data sheet for the material being worked travels with the order.
